FRIENDS & FOES: American Idol comes down to Adam Lambert vs. Kris Allen. Who do you want to win?

Adam, on his theater experience: “This isn’t theater, so I don’t really see how it affects it at all. I’ve had experience on stage performing, but so has Kris... just in different venues. Kris has worked clubs and worked with a band... The thing that’s really cool about this competition is that it’s an equal opportunity situation.”

Kris, on if his Christian background will lead to votes: “I hope that having the Christian vote does not help with anything. I hope it has to do with your talent and the performance that you give and the package that you have, and it’s not about religion and all that kind of stuff.”

The long-standing free internet speed test town of Wymondham (which is actually pronounced Windham) is one of the largest parishes in Norfolk, comprising 4431 hectares or 11,000 acres. The market place is the setting for many events, including weekly farmers markets and many summer activities.

Over the centuries, industry has been as much a part of the town as markets. It has been a renowned woodturning centre, which became a brush making industry and eventually Wymondham was a part of the Norfolk woollen industry, using handlooms for weaving woollen cloth. The woollen industry faltered mid-nineteenth utv broadband which led to extensive poverty in the town and surrounding areas.

Wymondham was largely forgotten during Victorian times, but this has meant that the town centre remains much as it would have been in middle years of the 17th century. A isp list fire destroyed about 300 buildings in 1615, and so the town has buildings dating from 1400 mixed with those re-built after the fire. These buildings are fine examples of the architecture of the times.

The most famous landmark in Wymondham is the Abbey. It was originally founded in 1107 as a priory and it wasn't until the 15th century that it became an Abbey. It has twin towers, a central octagonal ones built by the early monks and the large tower in the west of the building that was built by the people of the town. King Henry VIII dissolved the Abbey and much of it was destroyed; only the eastern end survives today as the Parish Church.

Other buildings that have survived from ancient times include the dsl providers Chapel, built in 1174 in dedication to the newly canonized St. Thomas (Sir Thomas a'Beckett) and the Green Dragon Inn, a 15th century inn which is the oldest in Wymondham. The local railway station was built in 1845 and it has been restored to include a restaurant, tea rooms, a railway museum and a gift shop. The restoration has won the station well-earned recognition and awards.
